CT CoreTechnologies presents its new version 3D_Evolution© 2009 at the Euromold
The CT CoreTechnologies Team introduced its powerful new version 3D_Evolution© 2009 on this year's Euromold, the exhibition for moldmaking and tooling, design and application development. The innovations include primarily developments in interoperability strategies, geometry optimization, as well as PLM integration. The highlight of collaboration solutions presented by CoreTechnologies is the unique technology for automatic migration, specifically from CATIA V4 to CATIA V5 with features and multi model links. Many established modules have been improved with new functions, like the Simplifier with its automatic generation of bounding geometry for IPP purposes and digital mock up, now also enhanced with the ablility to completely delete internal assemblies, the diameter of the selection ray freely definable. New „intelligent healing“ mechanisms can now be applied for twisted and self-intersecting faces. The errors detected by the certified VDA Checker are highlighted and deleted at the push of a button. The result guarantees a maximum of process reliability through consistent models that can be easily processed. Also brand new in geometrical 3D model comparison is the improved and clear graphic as well as independent detection of similar bodies with different descriptions within assemblies of different formats. Thanks to the new script language, multi-level processes are easily integrable with the enterprise batch manager. IE Webinterface with email notification as well as Up/Download function and computation on several computers are further advantages for the users, allowing for great flexibility. New functions for FEM Tools, such as new defeaturing for rounds, chamfers and other details, allow for the automatic generation of mid faces, with functions for direct parametric modelling on pure B-Rep models. And last, but not least, the increasing interest of technology ventures in VR and simulation methods has led CoreTechnologies to produce even more powerful OEM solutions and software components with new functions that are also available in the CT_Kernel_IO API. Reliable readers for all prevalent CAD native formats make features, PMI and GD&T information from CATIA V5 native data available, next to B-REPs, assemblies and attributes. With 3D_Evolution© 2009, both, end customers and OEMs are optimally equipped to face increasing world-wide competition.
CT CoreTechnologies joins JT Open Program
CT CoreTechnologies, provider of the leading conversion software 3D_Evolution©, joined Siemens’ PLM JT Open Program last September. The major reason behind this step may be seen as a result of the increasing importance of the JT format with its interesting technical potentials. The JT Open Program, a worldwide initiative of Siemens PLM Software for open data exchange, aims at standardizing technical cooperation through visualization, collaboration and data sharing within companies spanning the complete PLM value chain. The prime JT Open International Conference in Dallas end of September offered CoreTechnologies an excellent opportunity to strengthen its contacts with customers, especially in the aviation and automotive industries, presenting its solutions to crucial themes like Product Manufacturing Information (PMI) as well as quality control and long-term preservations of 3D models (LTDR). In fact, it is particularly with respect to such tasks that CoreTechnologies’ extensive experience with native interfaces, healing-technology, as well as quality control (VDA Checker) has paid off. The growing demand and importance of both integrated processes and reality simulation require effective interoperability of native 3D-CAD data. 3D_Evolution© customers are now ready to start, converting native data of all available CAD systems quickly and easily into the JT format, ensuring optimal process integration through native interfaces. The existing integration of the universal converter in PLM surroundings can be used unmodified here. The key benefit of CoreTechnologies’ native interfaces lies primarily in the ability to access all desired information of the CAD data, without any gaps, and most notably, without a CAD system license!
